Lucky

One day, I was at the doctors, when a tiny kitten walked past the door. Blink, Blink. Scrabble to feet, go out to sidewalk, peer myopically around car park. Go into news agency. Ask, "Did you see a kitten just walk past?" Nope. Oh.

Go back inside, worry a bit, go back out side just in time to find said news agent 'throwing' stray kitten on to road! Grab up kitten and hug it to indignant chest. "That yours?" sniffs newsagent.

"No, but I am not going to see it put out on the road!" Take kitten to Mum, waiting in car for me. Ask her to take the tiny, malnourished thing to vets 'right away' while I wait for doctor. The kitten doesn't look like it would last as long as you have to wait for a doctor ( J ). It has one gummed up eye.

Vet takes a look, and suggests Mum names him Lucky. Infact, she favors 'Bloody Lucky.' He is malnourished, has worms and a glued eye. Mum manages to smuggle him home to her place to nurse. He survives and is now a big ol' house cat who sleeps on the water tank most of the time.

StarJumper tries to teach him to hunt, but his favored quarry turns out to be her. He spent ages stalking her, only to pounce, touch her tail, then run away. Too cute.

Since she passed on all he has to play with are the poodles, whom he dually pounces and wrestles with on a semi regular bases.

He is so pretty. There are little tufts on the tips of his ears. His eyes are a lovely golden. His coat is gray and cream with tabby markings, his body type 'cob'.

And he likes to have his whiskers scratched.
