I Hear That Troubles Coming.

By Fire Frog.

Peter tumbled lazily through the air. His work boots dragged the ground for a second, then he drifted higher once again. He felt light and directionless as a dandelion seed lost on the wind.

/Jeez, looks like I'm back on the flip side again,/ he mused, spreading his arms and gradually gaining control of his flight. With a few practiced twists he soon had the art of flying re-mastered, although he couldn't seem to get higher than the second story of the buildings he passed.

"Peter!" Venkman turned and saw Egon being swept towards him on an air current. He reached out and they caught each other, the extra weight swinging them both in a wild circle.

"Wow! This is more fun than Disneyland!" Peter grinned. Egon smiled back with that quirk of his lips that Peter loved so much. They rode along with the breeze, swirling around buildings and scooting up the sides of tall buildings, Peter found it possible to go up even the tallest skyscraper with Egon by his side.

They found it was easier to go with the flow than to try and direct it, fun too. Lazily they circled and swirled around the buildings, twirling and winding around each other as well. They felt like acrobats, keeping close to one other by grabbing on to any handy items of each other's clothes.

"I want to go up there." Egon pointed to the few clouds visible in the sky and released his hold on Venkman's sleeve, using a single swimmer like kick to get himself climbing arrow strait towards his goal.

"Wait!" Peter called. "I can't get up that high!" Panic gripped him and he tried frantically to swim upwards. Unfortunately his washing machine like thrashing had the opposite effect, making him drop even lower than before.

"Of course you can come this high, Peter. Just take my hand." Egon drifted back and reached for him, Peter taking his hand with a profound sense of relief. Egon wouldn't leave him like that, what had he been thinking?

"Isn't it fascinating?" Egon sighed as they climbed into the sky.

"Yeah." Peter looked up at Spengler as the other man pulled him heavenwards. The wind was stronger up here and it drew Egon's overalls tight against his body. Which was an odd kind of thing for him to have noticed...

"Oh, I almost forgot." Egon turned back to him and held something out with his free hand. "This is for you."

Peter craned his neck to look. It...it was a...oh. Now why would Egon want him to have that? ...

He woke up. He blinked. He gave a disgruntled snort.

/Well, the meaning of that dream was pretty obvious,/ he thought crankily. /Thank you Mr. Id./ Peter blinked up at the ceiling. Oh, life was going to be interesting now...

**O_O***-_-***O_O**

"You want me to do what?" Egon stared at him as if he'd grown another head.

"You heard me," embarrassed Peter kept his eyes on the floor and kicked at the leg of the laboratory bench.

"What brought this on?" Egon gave him a suspicious look.

"Well, see, I had this dream..."

..ooOoo..

"I don't see anything, Ray." Winston swept the torch around the large storage room once more to be certain. The dark interior pressed in on him, making him nervous.

"Look, right here! There's evidence of candle wax, and the center of the floor has been swept clean! Add that to the other facts and it all points towards my theory!" Ray held up a hand to tick off his other observations. "Peter's been acting secretive lately. I caught him hiding a pair of thick leather work gloves and he refused to tell me what they were for, he just brushed me off! I heard strange noises coming from in here late at night. And I swear I saw evidence of arcane symbols drawn on Egon's wrist just the other day." Rays earnest face seemed to float disembodied in the darkened room and Winston shuddered. "They're involved in black magic, I just know it! We've got to stop them before it's too late!"

The other Ghostbuster gripped Winston's arm fiercely, looking deeply worried for his friends. Ray was the resident expert on the Occult and he knew how powerful and attractive the darkside could be, especially to some one like Peter. And Egon would want to study it, probably without Ray around to warn them off and break their spells. They had to stop them, they just had too!

"Okay, I believe you!" Zed extracted his arm from Ray's powerful grip and looked around the room again. Something fishy 'was' going on and he was going to find out what!

~~~~~oOo~~~~~
"They're in there?" Winston pulled off his baseball cap and looked at the closed door thoughtfully.
"Yep, went in about ten minutes after you left. Locked the door behind them too, we're gonna hafta break in." Ray punched his fist into his palm as emphasis.
Peter was going to grouse about a broken door, Winston knew it. But the stakes were high - Peter and Egon's immortal souls - so he was gonna have to take the risk of pissing off his boss. After all, those two idiots were probably in there right now selling their souls to Santa (bad Winston, no more dyslexic jokes, damn it!) He moved back then hit the door at a run. It burst open and they were witness to what appeared to be one of the more classic demon summoning rituals.
For a second it was all crystal clear. The candles flickered around the edges of the room, a nearly naked Egon lay spread-eagled on the floor, Peter crouched over him, hand poised to strike holding a...holding a...
Just what the heck was that? It looked like a thick jumbo marker pen. The moment of crystalline clarity was over and life clicked into focus. Slowly the real scene that they had burst in on broke through the facade of their expectations.
Candles did line the room, but by the way they were all heart shaped and had a strong strawberry vanilla scent it was plain they were more in the way of being mood lighting instead of an invitation to Beelzebub to come calling.
In the middle of the room Peter stood staring at them in shocked surprise, dressed in pieces of the work uniform of a train driver. He had on the big hat, the stripped apron and work boots, one thick leather glove on his left hand, the other glove tucked into the apron. That, however, was all that he was wearing. Under the apron he was bare assed naked.
Under him Spengler lay stretched out, his eyes currently closed as he sort for inner strength to cope with this sudden invasion. Spread out on the floor Egon's modesty was saved by a sprig of strangely miniature tree like greenery. His only other covering was the somewhat shaky marks of pink railroad tracks drawn over his body. The lines stopped at various areas of interest; there was a ring road around his belly button, for instance. Winston and Ray stared in fascination.
"Just what the hell do you think you guys are doing?" Peter tried to look self-righteous, which was hard when he was kneeling there near naked, with his apron tenting in an obvious way.
"Uh, saving you from the burning flames of hell?" Ray tried meekly. He was clutching a bell, book and candle - just in case a demonic possession had taken place - and he tried to proffer them as explanation. Unfortunately Peter didn't notice.
"Yeah, well if god wants to condemn us for our love he can kiss my..."
"Peter," Egon interrupted, putting the pieces together, "I believe Ray meant he thought we were conducting dark rituals in here." Then as an after thought he added softly, "By the way, do you think that you could untie me?"
"That's right, Peter!" Ray nodded his head eagerly, talking over Egon's soft request and looking imploringly at his still scowling, apron wearing friend. "You know I would never disprove of someone loving someone else, especially you two! I think it's great!" He then beamed happily at them both.
"Why is Egon tied up?" Winston asked curiously. There was silence as they all looked down at the bound scientist. There were loosely wrapped wide white ribbons tied round his wrists and ankles.
"It tickles." Egon eventually replied in an even tone.
"What does?" Winston frowned at Peter and the other man sighed.
"You're not gonna stop asking till you know, are you?" Winston and Ray both shook their heads and Peter sighed. "Okay, I guess I can spill the beans," he held out the oversize marker pen as exhibit one. "It's filled with strawberry syrup. I draw railway tracks on using this handy dandy applicator, then have fun licking it off. Egon's ticklish and he tends to squirm around a bit when I lick him, so I tie him up with ribbons to stop him doing me another grievous injury."
"I said I was sorry for that." Egon said phlegmatically, pulling at one white ribbon festooned wrist.
"You kneed me in the family jewels, Egon. Talk about de-railed! The ribbons stay until the choo choo is ready to pull up at the station, only then can they come off." Peter lectured cryptically.
"I don't want to know what that means, do I, Peter." Winston gave the other Ghostbuster his best 'No I Don't ' look and Venkman shut his mouth with a snap. For a minute there, lost in remembered pain and a hint of past/present sexual excitement he'd forgotten the others were there.
"Could some one please untie me?" Egon wriggled on the futon they had rolled out on the floor, tugging at his bonds. With a little effort he could have slipped himself free of them himself, but the contortions required would have looked most undignified.
"I'll do it!" Ray swooped to help, eager to do anything to make up for busting in on his friend's tryst.
"Thank you Raymond." Egon sat up when released, being careful to keep his concealing greenery in place. He glanced up and found that everyone was staring at him. Egon didn't mind, he wasn't particularly body shy, but he had been fairly close to a sexual peak and found that dealing with this halt in proceedings was just too much for his still somewhat overheated mind. Best to deal with that first then face the music with Ray and Winston later. "Gentlemen, if you could be so kind, Peter and I were in the middle of something when you interrupted us. If you could consent to leaving us to get on with it we shall join you later. I said you could leave any time now...right now would do." he raised one blond eyebrow and Winston and Ray backed towards the exit, babbling apologies like crazy. "Do shut the door behind you." Egon added.
Ray and Winston stood just outside the door, looking at each other in a shocked daze.
"And now - Next stop," came Egon's low, smoky voice from the other room, "all aboard for Peter Venkmans favorite ride..." The two Ghostbusters blushed red as they made their escape down stairs.
"So, was I art?" Egon stretched luxuriantly then trailed languid hand over Peter's warm back. He loved touching his lover afterwards, it made him feel sensuous and wickedly decadent.
"You, my love, are always art." Lying bonelessly on his stomach Peter smiled as he felt Egon lean further over him, he instinctively turned his head and stretched upwards to receive a welcome kiss.
"Hmm." Egon murmured, finding the touch of Peter's hot skin fueling his banked passions. "Tell me. What kind of locomotive was it I held out to you in your dream?" Curious he purred the words into Peter's ear, then lick at the delicious spot just behind it.
"God, Egon! Mmm, ah, letmethink...a steam engine. Oh yeah...Steam...Engine...classic...dream...phallic imagery." Peter gasped and gloried in the feel of Egon covering him with his body, his hands roaming possessively.
"Ah, yes. Something piston driven. How apt." Egon rubbed firmly up against his ass, sending electric thrills to Peter's spent but still interested cock.
"I do believe your motors running, Spengs!" Peter laughed as Egon began to make his way down his back, covering it in hot open mouth kisses.
"Indeed. And this time it'll be 'my' locomotive pulling in to the station."
Peter gasped and arched upwards, excited beyond belief at what Egon was doing to him, excited by Egon's voice - so low and sexy when they made love - excited simply by being with this amazing, adorable, above average guy. "Oh yeah, Egon. You make me wanna blow my smokestack every time!"
"And you, Peter, will always have my highest esteem!" and Egon proved just how high for the next blistering half hour.
Oh My!
Note: Title is a twisted version of that old song, 'I Hear That Train A Coming'. Plus, elements of this story are used for gratuitous plot development ie Egon was only tied down so I could get him in the classic 'sacrificial' position. :)
