La Cage Aux Folles
(The Birdcage)

Both French and American versions well worth watching. Brilliant comedys. The song 'I am what I am' comes from this movie - one hell of an affirmation!

Partners
Strait cop goes undercover as a couple with gay partner and ends up being rather fond of the guy. Funny and cute. Stars John Hurt & Ryan O'Neal. Warning - apparently one version finishes with the death scene at the end - but the one I watched has 'em getting better and drawing up plans to make good on the strait cops offer of a loving home together!

Get Real
Coming out drama, ends well.

Priest
Catholic Priest gets tempted but good! Real drama is the bind he ends up in over about if he should tell what he's heard in confession about a man and his young daughter.

Torch Song Trilogy
Lovely happy/sad story. Traces the loves of three guys. Adore the storming into school wearing bunny slippers scene! Has Matthew Broderick in it!

The Wedding Banquet
One of the guys Taiwanese parents arrive in America to have their say! Mostly funny with some deep thinking to level it out.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch
A botched sex change, an out there punk band and a great hairstyle.

Wild Zero
Staring 'Guitar Wolf'. Has the essential advise 'There are no boundaries in Rock 'n' Roll. Love has no borders, nationalities or genders.' It's a teen/horror/sci fi/rock video/comedy/romance flick. The hero is an Asian Orlando Bloom look'a'like, who ends up with his guy in the end! Best bit is where Seiji cuts the UFO apart with the samurai sword he
pulls out of his guitar. Wow.

Zoro The Gay Blade
New twist to an old story. There are 2 Zoro's now, and one of them wears pink, purple and gold lamè costumes!
